The Broward County Commission is set to consider two major development applications on October 23: an LGBT-focused housing community in Wilton Manors and a new hotel in Miramar.
David Coviello, a Miami partner, is representing nonprofit Carrfour Supportive Housing in the proposed development in Wilton Manors. The project would include 48 units at the Residences at Equality Park on the Pride Center campus at 2040 N. Dixie Highway. This is part of a deal signed in 2016 to allow the Miami-based affordable housing developer to build on part of its 5-acre site.
“South Florida, including Broward County, has an affordable housing crisis, and the county has adopted significant objectives and policies in furtherance of affordable housing,” Coviello said in an article included in the South Florida Business Journal.
