Shutts & Bowen attorneys William L. Grant, Andrew S. Eitingon, Neil B. Shoter and Jason W. Hill have received accreditation as LEED® Accredited Professionals from the Green Building Certification Institute.
LEED® Professional Accreditation (LEED AP) distinguishes building professionals with the knowledge and skills to successfully steward the LEED ® (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certification process through the U.S. Green Building Council and have demonstrated a thorough understanding of green building practices and principles and the LEED® Rating System.
Green and sustainable buildings involve the integrated, whole-building approach to planning, design, construction, operation and maintenance of buildings and their surroundings to mitigate environmental, economic and social impacts. Attorneys who are LEED® certified are better able to help their clients with the development, land use approvals, construction contract and lease negotiation, and dispute resolution processes involving green and sustainable buildings.
In addition to holding a LEED® accreditation, William L. Grant, a partner in the firm’s Orlando office, is Florida Bar Board Certified in Construction Law and is a member of the firm’s Construction Litigation Group. Jason W. Hill is also a member of this practice group.
Andrew S. Eitingon and Neil B. Shoter are both members of the Real Estate Department. Mr. Eitingon is located in the Orlando office and Mr. Shoter is located in West Palm Beach. Mr. Shoter is also a registered architect who concentrates his practice in commercial lease and construction contract transactions.
