Shutts & Bowen partner, Scott A. Glass, has become Florida Bar Board Certified in City, County and Local Government Law. Mr. Glass is among 207 lawyers in the State of Florida and 13 lawyers in Orlando who have achieved this particular certification.
Florida Bar certification recognizes an attorney’s special knowledge, skills, proficiency, professionalism and ethics. Approximately 7% of all attorneys in Florida who meet the standards prescribed by the Supreme Court of Florida are Board Certified in 24 different practice areas.
Mr. Glass represents private clients ranging from individuals to national companies in real estate, construction and general commercial matters. He has frequently appeared before state and local government boards to gain approvals for development or general business. He has advised large public entities, smaller municipalities and government clients on issues ranging from public records and the Government in the Sunshine Act, to interlocal agreements dealing with annexation, utility service areas, and coordinated development.
