Shelly Wald, a member of Shutts & Bowen’s Trusts & Estates Department, recently spoke at the Institute for Paralegal Education’s webcast seminar for paralegals on the spousal rights in Florida. The webcast seminar was attended by a national audience. Ms. Wald provided attendees written seminar materials on spousal rights and protections in an estate. She also gave a step by step presentation of the process of analyzing a surviving spouse’s rights to assets from his or her predeceased spouse’s estate.
Ms. Wald works with individuals and families of high net worth as well as fiduciaries, both corporate and individual. She is one of a limited number of Florida attorneys who is Board Certified in Wills, Trusts and Estates, by the Florida Bar. She focuses exclusively on estate planning and trust and estate administration in Shutts & Bowen's West Palm Beach office.
