Shutts & Bowen Names Six New Partners

Shutts & Bowen LLP is pleased to announce that six attorneys were named partner at its recent annual meeting. With approximately 250 attorneys throughout the state of Florida, Shutts & Bowen is dedicated to celebrating the diverse backgrounds and fresh perspectives of young attorneys.

George Andrews is a commercial litigator with experience representing financial institutions is cases involving the Fair Credit Reporting Act, the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, the Telephone Consumer Protection Act, the Florida Consumer Collection Practices Act, the Truth in Lending Act, the Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act, and the Home Ownership and Equity Protection Act.

Daniel J. Barsky is an attorney in Shutts & Bowen's West Palm Beach Business Litigation Department and in the firm's Intellectual Property Practice Group.  His practice includes representing clients in commercial litigation, appellate, intellectual property, defamation, construction and real estate related litigation. Mr. Barsky is a Registered Patent Attorney with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.

Alfredo L. Gonzalez, Jr. is an attorney in Shutts & Bowen's Miami office where he practices immigration law. He advises clients on all aspects of U.S. immigration laws, with a focus on immigrant and non-immigrant investor visas and other business and employment based visa petitions.  He also represents clients in appellate litigation matters.

Harris J. Koroglu is an attorney in the Creditors' Rights/Bankruptcy Group in Shutts & Bowen's Miami office. His practice includes all aspects of creditor representation in bankruptcy litigation, reorganization and liquidation, with a significant emphasis upon representation of financial institutions.  He has also previously represented Chapter 11 trustees, federal court-appointed receivers and managed multiple interrelated bankruptcy adversary proceedings and receivership ancillary proceedings.

Rachel M. LaMontagne is an attorney in Shutts & Bowen's Miami office, where she maintains a diverse legal career, with a focus on personal injury protection litigation.

Adam S. Woodruff is an attorney in Shutts & Bowen's Tampa office.  Mr. Woodruff concentrates his practice in the areas of banking law, corporate, real estate and business transactions.  Mr. Woodruff represents financial institutions, including national, regional and community banks, in structuring, documenting and closing complex credit facilities.
