On January 19, 2024, Shutts & Bowen lost a beloved member of its family, Leann M. Warfield, a longtime Orlando partner in our Corporate Practice Group.
Leann was a dedicated and accomplished corporate attorney who touched the lives of many with her knowledge and kindness. Her legacy of tireless excellence will continue to inspire those who knew her, and she will be deeply missed by her colleagues and Central Florida’s legal community. Leann navigated the complex legal landscape of business transactions with unmatched dedication and skill. Her legacy will be imprinted on the success of the firm, and her impact on the Orlando corporate team will be lasting. We mourn the loss of a true professional and extend our heartfelt condolences to her family and friends.
Leann grew up outside of Chicago in La Grange, Illinois, graduating from Lyons Township High School in 1975. She received a bachelor’s degree from DePaul University in 1988 and a Juris Doctor of Law from the DePaul University College of Law in 1993. She joined Shutts in 1998 and was a valued member of the firm for 26 years.
Leann is survived by her brother Robert Warfield and his sons Robert and William Warfield; her nephew Joshua Boesch; and her step-children Michael, Stephanie, and Melissa Brezinsky. She was a devoted wife to her husband of over 30 years, Jerome Brezinsky, before his passing in 2015.
