On November 19, Michael Lozoff, a partner in the Miami office of Shutts & Bowen LLP and Chair of the Credit Union Practice Group, hosted the Annual Credit Union Roundtable via Zoom. The event, presented as a courtesy to clients of the Credit Union Practice Group of the firm, was attended by Florida banking regulators and other credit union professionals.
Mike was joined by fellow Shutts & Bowen partners as featured speakers. Orlando partner Rod Jones, a former banking regulator for the State of Florida, discussed bank acquisitions by credit unions. Miami partners Kimberly Prior and Daniel Stabile led a discussion on blockchain technology and cryptocurrency. All attendees received a copy of "Digital Assets and Blockchain Technology: US Law and Regulation," a first-of-its-kind legal textbook co-authored by Kim and Daniel.
