Shutts & Bowen Expands Business Litigation Practice with Addition of Thomas S. Cargill

Shutts & Bowen is pleased to announce that Thomas S. Cargill has joined its Orlando office as a partner in the Business Litigation Practice Group.

A talented attorney with nearly two decades of experience, Tom focuses his practice on complex civil litigation. His practice emphasizes general business and commercial matters on behalf of regional, global and Fortune 500 clients. Throughout his career, he has successfully handled a wide variety of business litigation matters in state and federal courts across the country, from the outset of litigation through jury trial verdicts.

“Tom’s depth of experience as lead counsel in a broad spectrum of business litigation matters makes him an ideal addition to our team,” said Senior Litigation Partner Bud Bennington. “We are excited to welcome him to the Orlando office and we know he will truly be an asset for our clients.”

Tom previously served as a Board Member of the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Central and Northern Florida and is a two-time recipient of the American Bar Association Military Pro Bono Project Outstanding Services Award.

He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Florida and his law degree from Emory University School of Law.

“I’m excited to join and contribute to Shutts & Bowen’s robust litigation practice and look forward to collaborating with my new colleagues,” said Tom.
