Shutts & Bowen LLP is pleased to announce its ranking in Law360’s 2019 Diversity Snapshot, a report compiled from the headcounts of over 300 U.S. firms as of December 31, 2018. Affirming Shutts’ longstanding commitment to diversity, the Law360 Snapshot ranks the firm No. 3 among its tiered group (150-299 attorneys).
Law360’s fifth annual Diversity Snapshot surveyed 89 of the 100 largest U.S.-based firms, with more than 83 percent of the top 200 U.S. law firms participating. While the Snapshot reveals that just over 16 percent of attorneys and 9 percent of partners at surveyed firms were minorities, Shutts had a total of 21.5 percent minority attorneys, 17.3 percent minority partners and 18.2 percent equity partners.
Law360’s findings echo the 2019 American Lawyer Diversity Scorecard, which ranked Shutts & Bowen No. 19 among the top firms in the country. According to Law360, the rankings are determined by grouping firms based on their U.S. attorney headcount, evaluating diversity in comparison to similarly sized peer firms and then ranking each according to the percentage of minority attorneys at the partner and non-partner levels.
